About the Role
This is a part-time remote position for a Podcast Host focused on stock markets, mining, commodities, and broader financial topics. You will plan, research, and present episodes ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and understandable for both retail and professional investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, research, and present episodes focused on stock markets, mining, commodities, and finance topics
- Prepare show outlines and conduct background research on companies and trends
- Interview industry experts and executives for live or recorded discussions
- Collaborate with producers and editors on episode development
- Write episode summaries and promotional copy
- Coordinate with social media staff to promote episodes and grow audience engagement
- Monitor listener feedback and analytics to refine topics, format, and delivery
- Maintain journalistic integrity and compliance with applicable disclosure guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and interviewing skills to host engaging discussions
- Solid writing and research skills to craft scripts, outlines, and summaries
- Social media skills to support episode promotion and audience engagement
- Understanding of stock markets, mining, and finance concepts
- Comfort with remote work including reliable internet, basic audio equipment, and podcast tools familiarity
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, journalism, communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Prior experience in financial media, journalism, or investing is beneficial
