Podcast Producer
City Cast is seeking a skilled Podcast Producer to oversee the production of a weekly podcast focused on local news and civic life. In this role, you will manage schedules, edit audio and video content, and create engaging social media clips that drive audience engagement and conversation around important community issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling and communication with podcast hosts and city teams
- Edit audio and video content for episodes, ensuring quality and narrative flow
- Create social media clips and engage with the podcast audience across various platforms
- Produce and edit social video content for platforms like YouTube and TikTok
- Collaborate with distributed and remote teams to ensure timely delivery of content
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in audio and/or video production, preferably in a podcast or media environment
- Proficiency with Riverside, Descript, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong editorial sense and enthusiasm for local news and civic affairs
- Experience producing and editing social video content
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams preferred
