Podcast Producer, The Bulletin

Christianity Today is hiring a Podcast Producer to take ownership of The Bulletin, CT Media’s flagship news commentary podcast. You will execute the vision for The Bulletin in collaboration with Executive Producers and the Director of CT Media, managing every aspect of the show from conception to publishing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own episodes from conception to publishing, including research, booking, recording, producing, and working with sound engineers on final edits and mixes
  • Direct and manage all talent (commentators, guests), ensuring proper briefing and alignment with show vision
  • Generate timely and thoughtful segment and interview ideas in alignment with CT’s Declaration of Principles
  • Moderate recorded conversations with commentators and guests, including intermittent 1:1 interviews
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Advertising to extend reach of Bulletin content across multiple CT platforms
  • Oversee content and growth of The Bulletin Substack account to engage the show audience
  • Build a bench of premier guest commentators to enhance show credibility
  • Work directly with host on scripting, refining questions, and directing in Riverside
  • Coach CT editors to translate written pieces into compelling audio episodes
  • Contribute to programming strategy and format experiments to deepen listener loyalty
  • Lead weekly post-mortem and writer’s room meetings for content development
  • Maintain production spreadsheet with show summaries, schedules, and booking details
  • Conduct monthly team business meetings to review metrics, goals, and special projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of podcast production experience
  • Experience booking high-profile guests
  • Experience creating content for visual and written media
  • Adept knowledge of news and a biblical worldview
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects on deadline
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and develop strong partnerships
  • Creative ideation and dynamic storytelling abilities
