Podcast Producer — Podcast Town Career Services

Are you a creative thinker that enjoys living outside of the box? Do you crave variety and have an eye for detail? University of South Florida’s Podcast Town is seeking a talented Podcast Producer to help provide awesome audio production, management, and marketing services to our partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with interested parties to bring them onboard as clients
  • Create new ideas for podcast shows and facilitate the launching of new shows
  • Work with internal/external partners to book guests for shows
  • Manage the podcast booking process from outreach to follow-up
  • Draft show notes for episodes
  • Create marketing assets for shows including audiograms, transcripts, and social posts
  • Edit raw audio and deliver finished products to clients using REAPER or similar DAWs
  • Manage administrative aspects of podcasts
  • Help manage the podcast studio and facilitate studio operations
  • Work with marketing teams to ideate, create, and deliver marketing assets
  • Play a key role in developing and executing podcast marketing plans

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to spot emerging trends in the podcast industry
  • Creativity and an eye for innovation
  • Ability to effectively make cold calls, establish relationships, and network
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management teams and collaborators
  • High level of organization and attention to detail with self-direction
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise in audio production including Audacity, REAPER, Adobe Audition, or other digital audio workstations
  • Understanding of digital marketing elements (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Understanding of Canva or willingness to learn the platform
  • Understanding of Headliner or ability to learn the platform
