Overview

Voicing Change Media, a podcast creator network launched by Rich Roll and RXR Sports, seeks an experienced Studio Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day studio operations. You’ll manage podcast recording schedules, track studio activities, handle billing, provide production support, and lead front-of-house operations for a state-of-the-art facility in Westlake, CA. This role is crucial in building and managing freelance teams while running network-wide events that contribute to a collaborative creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate podcast recordings, ensuring smooth transitions between sessions, ad shoots, and meetings
  • Serve as the main point of contact for podcasts recording in the space, providing exceptional service
  • Build and maintain a talented pool of freelance videographers, editors, and photographers
  • Schedule and coordinate freelancer assignments based on studio needs and expertise
  • Track studio usage, hours, resources, and milestones for accurate records
  • Collaborate with finance team on invoicing and billing discrepancies
  • Oversee physical and operational management of the facility, ensuring maintenance and organization
  • Manage studio equipment inventory, IT capabilities, and building security
  • Track operational expenses and manage vendor contracts and renewals
  • Plan and coordinate events including live podcasts, workshops, and experiential events
  • Engage with external partners and stakeholders to build relationships

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, management, or production coordination within creative media
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Notion, studio management tools, and basic accounting systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing freelancers or small teams
  • Passion for podcasting and working with diverse teams

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with audio and video production processes
  • Knowledge of event coordination and client relationship management
  • Experience in creative or production-focused industries
  • Technical proficiency in industry-standard software and tools
