CBC/Radio-Canada is looking for a Producer to join the Metro Morning team within English Services. This on-site role offers the chance to work on one of Canada’s most iconic morning radio and audio programs.
As Producer, you will be at the heart of daily editorial decision-making, helping to shape the sound and direction of Metro Morning for its loyal audience across Canada.
- Propose original story ideas and chase breaking news stories relevant to the Toronto audience
- Develop and execute compelling program content on a daily basis
- Collaborate with hosts, reporters, and technical staff to deliver broadcast-ready content
- Manage editorial calendars and contribute to long-term programming strategy
- Ensure all content meets CBC editorial standards and guidelines
- Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven live broadcast environment
The ideal candidate will have experience in radio or audio production, a strong editorial instincts, and the ability to generate fresh story ideas consistently. Familiarity with CBC’s journalistic standards and a passion for local Toronto stories are highly valued.
