Producer, Podcast – NYC [Temporary]

HigherGround is seeking an experienced Freelance Producer to drive the day-to-day production of our always-on shows. You’ll work closely with the team on interview scheduling and prep, editorial decision-making, episode assembly in Adobe Premiere Pro, and both remote and in-studio tapings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Host and Production team to produce episodes and related podcast deliverables
  • Lead weekly production meetings; set agendas and organize team schedules
  • Develop show workflows; contribute to overall format and structure
  • Pitch episode topics and guests
  • Own the guest booking pipeline: liaise with guest reps, send invites, prep docs, and coordinate day-of logistics
  • Create research briefs for the Host and schedule pre-interviews as needed
  • Research and fact-check scripts and episodes
  • Edit raw interviews in Premiere Pro; assemble episodes, ads, and promotional materials
  • Maintain the Airtable schedule and editorial calendar for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support ad operations: manage obligations, execution, tracking, and deliverables
  • Partner with marketing to gather materials for campaigns and distribute social assets

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience producing high-production interview/chat shows
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Pro Tools
  • Proven collaboration with high-profile talent and production partners; discretion and professionalism
  • Strong writing and editorial judgment
  • Self-starter who owns workflows and meets deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Exceptional detail management, organization, and accountability
  • Resourceful problem-solver who anticipates needs
  • Comfort working long or irregular hours when production requires it
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Team-first mindset and ability to maintain high quality standards
