Producer, Untitled Pelosi Podcast Project

This position requires an experienced audio producer who has knowledge of and interest in the subject matter of the show, and is capable of shaping pitches, framing episodes, coordinating and producing tapings, writing scripts for audio, cutting tape, producing mixes, and scoring audio. The producer will work closely with the rest of the show team and should have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team, bringing ideas, aiding and fostering collective vision, supporting the host, working with engineers, and contributing to a respectful and constructive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute ideas for episodes and potential sources to the host and team
  • Book and pre-interview guests/sources
  • Support host with interview prep and in-studio direction and production
  • Record, log and edit audio/tape for episodes
  • Assemble a mix or structure for a story/episode in a multitrack audio editor
  • Develop sound design and scoring elements to enhance the storytelling
  • Help conceptualize and frame episodes and interviews
  • Contribute to research as needed
  • Produce or assist with producing promotional materials

  • Schedule: Temporary, Hybrid – San Francisco
