Radio Producer
Audacy is seeking a passionate and resourceful Radio Producer for our Pittsburgh station (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA). This is a full-time, on-site position in our Programming department, reporting to the Brand Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radio broadcasting console, running satellite and syndicated programming
- Oversee on-air automation systems and screen phone calls
- Monitor transmitters and conduct on-location remote producing
- Record readings and edit sound for broadcast quality
- Write news stories for web platforms
- Assist on-air talent in live situations and provide minor production support
- Book guests for talk shows and deliver on-air traffic reports
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Quick-thinking self-starter with strong resourcefulness and passion for content
- Excellent writing skills with ability to engage listeners on pop culture, news, and politics
- Sharp instinct for breaking news, human interest, viral, lifestyle, and entertainment content
- News and sports writing skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, communication-driven team environment
- Understanding of and passion for social media integration
- Knowledge of automation and production software (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record check
- Proof of vehicle insurance if using personal vehicle
