The podcast features authentic, emotionally resonant discussions between two women, aiming to maintain a warm, trauma-informed, and honest tone. Episodes are approximately 30 minutes, recorded via Riverside, and released biweekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and clean up audio for each episode, including removing long pauses, mistakes, repeats, stumbles, awkward gaps, filler words, coughs, and background noise
  • Balance audio levels between two hosts to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Enhance the flow of conversations while maintaining a natural, unforced feel
  • Add and improve intro/outro segments, including refining current intro/outro sound
  • Export and deliver final polished episode files in required formats
  • Maintain the emotional warmth and authenticity of the podcast, avoiding over-editing
  • Communicate effectively regarding turnaround times and editing approach
  • Provide editing samples and details of previous podcast work

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience editing conversational podcasts, preferably in personal growth, wellness, or trauma-informed space
  • Strong proficiency with audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar)
  • Ability to identify and remove unwanted audio elements while preserving natural dialogue flow
  • Skilled in balancing and enhancing audio quality for multiple speakers
  • Creative approach to intro/outro sound design
  • Detail-oriented with commitment to delivering high-quality, polished episodes
  • Reliable and able to meet biweekly release deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
  • Willingness to provide a paid test edit

Bonus: Experience with video editing for podcast episodes.

The initial engagement will be a paid test episode, with potential for ongoing collaboration if the fit is right.
