Seasonal Production Assistant, Studio and Original Programming

The New York Jets are seeking a Production Assistant to play a key role in all facets of the team’s studio, live and broadcast programming. This is an 8-month seasonal position with a target start date of June 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and execute a variety of roles in a studio production setting, including cameras, set design, switchers, audio mixer, mics and lighting
  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of studio and control room equipment
  • Operate and execute in live production settings, both in-studio and on remote shoots
  • Take direction from show directors and producers, adapting on the fly
  • Operate and communicate with talent on-set, micing up hosts and analysts
  • Learn and operate sound capture equipment, including mixers, mics and booms
  • Serve as floor manager and associate producer on location shoots such as Pregame Central and The Official Jets Podcast
  • Shoot and edit a wide variety of content including podcasts, broadcast shows, features and community relations content
  • Assist with media logging, organizing and post-production support

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated, hands-on production experience with emphasis on cinematography
  • Experience using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Ability to operate high-end production equipment including cameras, lenses, switchers and lighting
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment cases
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays
