About the Role

Aquent is seeking a Senior PR Manager to own Public Relations and Communications end-to-end as a small, high-output in-house function. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution for a global leader in the premium consumer tech and lifestyle space. You will set the strategy and execute it personally—writing press releases, pitching to journalists, prepping executives for podcasts, briefing agencies, filing award submissions, and managing asset libraries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute PR and communications strategy with two primary goals: increase share of voice against named competitors and maximize earned media impressions
  • Lead a small team: hire, mentor, and grow at least one direct report (PR Associate or PR Coordinator)
  • Coordinate with two external agencies serving as force multipliers on outreach and relationships
  • Coordinate cross-functional marketing campaigns with creative, product, social, and digital teams
  • Write and pitch press releases to journalists
  • Prep executive team for podcast appearances and media interviews
  • Manage brand positioning and reputation in the news cycle
  • Direct exposure to corporate leadership and Director of Marketing

Who Should Apply

We care more about wiring than your exact resume background. Ideal candidates include: agency operators (mid-level to senior) at consumer, lifestyle, or entertainment shops; former journalists or editors with active newsroom networks; in-house PR managers at high-growth consumer brands; communications operators with journalism background; or communications generalists from entrepreneurial companies where PR was built from scratch. *Must have a portfolio to be considered.*

Recruitment Scam Warning

Podwires will never ask you to pay fees, purchase equipment, or share sensitive financial information (bank details, SSN, credit cards) during the application process. Be cautious of offers that seem too good to be true, unsolicited messages from generic email addresses, or pressure to act immediately.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. Research the company, verify the posting on their official site, and never send money for a job. Report suspicious listings to ReportFraud.ftc.gov or contact us.
