About the Role

Texas Sports Academy seeks a Content Creator to join the Marketing team remotely. This role focuses on editing fast-paced, scroll-stopping shortform videos from raw youth sports footage into engaging content for social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit fast-paced shortform videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) from raw youth sports footage including highlights, day-in-the-life clips, and athlete features
  • Produce 60-90 second cuts within 24-48 hours of receiving footage
  • Work in CapCut and/or Premiere Pro to add dynamic captions, trending audio, motion graphics, and pacing techniques
  • Optimize content for Instagram and TikTok algorithms and youth sports audiences
  • Collaborate with social media team via Iconik and Slack to pull footage and follow content calendars
  • Hit weekly posting quotas across multiple sports programs (basketball, baseball, volleyball, flag football)
  • Maintain brand consistency including visual style, music licensing compliance, and on-brand graphics
  • Adapt tone for different platforms and audience segments
  • Stay current on shortform trends and proactively suggest engaging formats

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of shortform editing experience
  • Proficiency in CapCut and/or Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms
  • Familiarity with music licensing compliance
  • Collaborative team player with attention to detail
