About This Role
AgencyHires is seeking a talented Short Form Video Editor to work with one of the world’s most trusted entrepreneurship media brands. You’ll transform long-form founder interviews and podcast episodes into compelling short-form content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn—reaching over 1 million entrepreneurs monthly.
A Day in This Role
Your day begins by diving into long-form podcast episodes featuring world-class entrepreneurs and business leaders. You’ll identify the most powerful moments—whether it’s a compelling story, valuable lesson, or thought-provoking insight—and extract them. You’ll then craft these moments into scroll-stopping short-form videos with strategic hooks, precise pacing, clean captions, motion graphics, and polished sound design. Later, you’ll analyze performance metrics including retention, rewatches, comments, and shares to continuously sharpen your craft. You’ll end your day knowing your edits are helping real entrepreneurs learn from industry titans like Mark Cuban, Tim Ferriss, and Gary Vaynerchuk.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and extract the strongest moments from long-form podcast episodes and interviews
- Edit and produce short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
- Create attention-grabbing hooks and structure clips for maximum scroll-stopping impact
- Add captions, refine pacing, execute cuts and zooms, design sound, and incorporate motion graphics
- Translate complex business concepts into clear, engaging, watchable content
- Edit with speed and precision while maintaining exceptional quality and platform awareness
- Test new creative styles, formats, hooks, and angles collaboratively with the content team
- Review performance data and apply insights to improve future edits
Requirements
- Proven expertise in short-form video editing with a strong portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to transform long-form content into viral-worthy clips
- Deep understanding of pacing, hooks, retention metrics, caption strategy, and scroll-stopping structure
- Ability to identify compelling moments within lengthy interviews and extract their essence
- Strong aesthetic sense with an eye for clean, modern design
- Advanced proficiency with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn content dynamics
- Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality
- Comfort with remote work, strong organizational skills, and reliability
- Genuine interest in founders, business, and entrepreneurship
- Openness to feedback and willingness to test new approaches
