Overview

The Axis is seeking a skilled Social Media Clip Editor to transform podcast episodes into engaging short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. This clip-editing-only role requires empathy and thoughtfulness when handling sensitive topics within the aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery, and addiction & recovery spaces. You’ll work with a largely female audience base, demonstrating sharp editing skills, ability to follow direction, and consistent deadline management.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and edit 1-3 clips per episode across a portfolio of podcasts, each with its own tone, audience, and visual identity
  • Draft captions for each clip with platform-appropriate hooks, accurate spelling, and on-brand voice
  • Deliver formatted, ready-to-post assets optimized for vertical and square formats
  • Maintain a consistent, organized delivery workflow and flag anything requiring additional review

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with Riverside (strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated portfolio of short-form social clips pulled from long-form podcast or interview content
  • Deep familiarity with platform-native editing for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn video
  • Exceptional attention to detail: clean captions, impeccable spelling, accurate timestamps
  • Experience with doctors, aesthetic medicine, beauty, or wellness space
  • US-based location required
  • Nice to have: Experience with AI-assisted editing tools (Opus Clip, Descript, etc.)
