About the Role

Rocksteady Studios is seeking an experienced Sound Designer to join our audio team and contribute to an exciting AAA game project. This role is ideal for someone stepping up from a junior position or confidently growing into an intermediate-level sound design role. You will craft immersive soundscapes and collaborate with a talented team to create emotionally resonant player experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design immersive soundscapes and gameplay-reactive audio within allocated timeframes
  • Implement audio assets in-engine with attention to quality and stability
  • Work across a wide range of tasks: SFX design, in-engine implementation, music workflows, dialogue editing and design
  • Participate actively in milestone reviews and retrospectives, sharing insights and receiving feedback
  • Proactively engage with other departments to support gameplay and narrative goals
  • Manage sprint tasks with accuracy and transparency
  • Contribute to audio pipeline improvements and tool feedback

Requirements

  • Proven experience producing audio for interactive media
  • Demonstrated ability to design high-quality SFX with a craft-driven approach
  • Experience implementing audio in modern game engines
  • Strong collaborative skills and effective communication across disciplines
  • Creative initiative and technical independence
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
