About the Role
Spotify is seeking a Supervising Studios Production Manager to oversee production logistics and operations for its studio facilities and podcast productions. This role bridges studio production and creative teams, coordinating all recordings and managing seasonal staffing across The Ringer’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with studio scheduling leads to coordinate studio bookings and production logistics
- Manage facility and equipment coordination in partnership with engineering teams
- Schedule planned upgrades and downtime to address technical issues
- Manage studio backend support and vendor coordination
- Streamline workflows, develop budgets, and manage vendor relations to optimize efficiency
- Collaborate on production operations strategies with production managers and creative executives
- Establish in-studio practices that maximize team cohesion and efficiency
- Act as bridge between Studio Production and Finance, building rate cards and managing contractor onboarding
- Source additional contractor support and build strategy for show and studio preferred assignments
- Drive configuration of studio spaces to enable purposeful onsite work
- Support live events team’s effort to source production crew and equipment for remote productions
Requirements
- Significant experience with production staffing and fluctuating production needs
- Familiarity with podcast business and Spotify’s production ecosystem
- Strong knowledge of production operations, logistics, and scheduling
- Experience managing vendor relationships and contractor networks
- Excellent budget management and financial coordination skills
- Leadership ability and team management experience
