About the Role

ScaledOps is building an AI operator that runs complex projects end to end. We’re starting with content marketing by helping companies repurpose their podcast, demo, webinar, and customer call content into engaging social media clips.

As a Video Clipper, you’ll be the tastemaker for our AI-generated rough cuts. Your job is to evaluate, refine, and polish video clips—choosing which cuts are worth sharing and ensuring each one meets professional standards for hooks, pacing, captions, and platform-specific formatting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retime, recut, rehook, or reject rough cuts generated by AI
  • Choose effective hooks and opening moments for maximum engagement
  • Add captions, pacing adjustments, b-roll, and beat-synced cuts
  • Own the final quality control on all published content
  • Optimize clips for different platform behaviors and requirements

Requirements

  • Strong instinct for what makes engaging video content and effective hooks
  • Ability to edit clips quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Proficiency in serious editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Understanding of platform-specific best practices across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and similar
  • Meticulous attention to detail with properly aligned captions and clean audio
  • Mid-Senior level experience preferred

The Setup

Fully remote with flexible hours and significant room for growth. You’ll work with a steady volume of content in a low-meeting environment focused on creative output.

Recruitment Scam Warning

Podwires will never ask you to pay fees, purchase equipment, or share sensitive financial information (bank details, SSN, credit cards) during the application process. Be cautious of offers that seem too good to be true, unsolicited messages from generic email addresses, or pressure to act immediately.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. Research the company, verify the posting on their official site, and never send money for a job. Report suspicious listings to ReportFraud.ftc.gov or contact us.
