Role Overview

This is a part-time remote role for a Video Editor / Content Creator / Copy Editor. You will edit podcast video episodes and clips, including trimming footage, syncing audio, adding basic motion graphics, and color grading for visual consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit podcast video episodes and clips with attention to trimming, syncing audio, and visual flow
  • Apply basic motion graphics, color grading, and effects for visual consistency across all content
  • Create short-form video content, thumbnails, and simple graphics for social media platforms
  • Review and refine written materials such as episode descriptions, show notes, and social posts for clarity, grammar, and tone
  • Organize assets and prepare content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Collaborate with the host or producers on creative direction and brand voice
  • Deliver projects on schedule while maintaining high quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Strong skills in video production and video editing for podcast episodes and short-form content
  • Proficiency with video color grading to ensure consistent, appealing visuals
  • Experience with motion graphics and graphics for titles, lower thirds, and transitions
  • Proficiency with common editing and design tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or equivalent)
  • Solid copy editing abilities, including grammar, structure, and tone alignment
  • Attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for video and written content
  • Prior experience in podcasting, content creation, or digital media is preferred but not required
