About The Role

eBay is seeking a highly creative and versatile Video Editor to join the content team. In this role, you will work closely with producers, digital content designers, social media managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to craft engaging video content that elevates storytelling across digital platforms, live events, and company initiatives.

The ideal candidate is passionate about social-first storytelling, understands platform-specific pacing and viewing behaviors, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should seamlessly move between high-energy social media clips, polished long-form features, and promotional campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Edit compelling long-form and short-form video content for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging digital channels
  • Structure narratives, select music, pace cuts, mix audio, and apply color grading for high-production value
  • Partner with producers and designers to integrate graphic assets, thumbnails, and motion design elements
  • Reformat and optimize master video assets into vertical (9:16), square (1:1), and horizontal (16:9) variants
  • Maintain brand voice, visual guidelines, and quality standards across all video formats
  • Organize raw footage, manage project files, and streamline post-production workflows
  • Stay current on social media video trends, editing styles, and platform features
  • Manage multiple edit queues simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience in content, media, sports, entertainment, or digital marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise in social-first content creation and platform optimization
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software
  • Strong understanding of algorithm-driven content performance
  • Excellent time management and ability to balance competing priorities
