About the Role
Story Co is seeking a versatile Video Editor to join our in-office team in San Francisco. You’ll collaborate with a small team creating docu-style videos that document the people and companies building the future. This role focuses on transforming complex technical subjects into engaging, human-centered stories that resonate with both industry experts and general audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform hours of interviews, b-roll, archival footage, and production assets into compelling documentary stories
- Work directly with directors and producers from assembly cut through final delivery
- Manage your own project files, organization, and delivery pipeline
- Own finishing videos through color and sound, occasionally creating simple animations using AI tools or After Effects
- Contribute to expanding S³’s IP through new video formats and storytelling methods
- Iterate quickly on feedback while maintaining high quality standards

- Excellent communicator who works well in collaborative team environments
- Willingness to relocate to or be based in SF Bay Area
Requirements
- Strong portfolio with diverse work: narrative, documentary, brand film, etc.
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
- Ability to complete a paid test edit as part of hiring process
- Relentlessly optimistic outlook and full commitment to the mission
