About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Video Editor to join our content production team. This role is ideal for an experienced editor who is comfortable working from clear production notes and has a keen eye for detail. You will support the ongoing production of podcasts, YouTube videos, and social media content, ensuring each project is polished, engaging, and aligned with brand standards. Working closely with a Senior Video Producer and the Content team, you will be responsible for editing long-form and short-form videos, enhancing content flow, and adding visual elements to maximize viewer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form podcast and YouTube videos from raw footage, ensuring clarity and engagement
- Create short-form social media clips optimized for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok platforms
- Remove filler words, dead air, and unnecessary pauses to improve content flow
- Apply text overlays, graphics, and visual enhancements for maximum viewer engagement
- Follow detailed production notes and creative instructions accurately
- Receive feedback and make quick iterations as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience editing podcast or talking-head video content
- Experience editing YouTube long-form videos and social media clips (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style content)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects is a plus
- Excellent English comprehension skills for captions, on-screen text, and overlays
- Ability to follow detailed production notes and creative instructions accurately
- Comfortable receiving feedback and making quick iterations
- Reliable availability for approximately 20 hours per week with overlap in EST timezone
