About the Role

Superpower is seeking high-velocity, high-craft remote video editors to join their 2–3 person edit team. You’ll own paid social video editing and work asynchronously with the U.S. team on a clear weekly cadence. This role is ideal for editors who value both craft and speed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ship 8–12 cuts per week including UGC reformats, hook variants, paid social cuts, podcast clips, and founder-led content
  • Move briefs to v1 in under 48 hours and maintain 80%+ pass rate on producer v1 reviews
  • Execute briefs precisely with focus on hook, hold, payoff, CTA, music, and pacing
  • Repurpose one UGC submission into 8–12 cuts with different hooks, music, and angles
  • Maintain organized asset library with clear tagging for rapid asset retrieval
  • Perform self-QA on audio levels, color, pacing, captions, and safe zones
  • Communicate asynchronously through Loom walkthroughs and written feedback

Requirements

  • 4+ years editing paid social or short-form video
  • At least 2 years experience with a DTC brand or paid social-heavy creator
  • Reel demonstrating paid social cuts with documented performance metrics
  • Proven async collaboration with U.S. teams across time zones
  • Expert-level Premiere or Final Cut Pro; intermediate or better After Effects
  • Ability to execute briefs without multiple clarification rounds
  • Strong self-QA mindset to minimize producer rework
