Video Editor — Viking

Join Viking’s photo and video production team as a Video Editor, a key role that manages video content while maintaining our brand vision and ensuring accuracy. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including creative studios, brand teams, product development teams, and third-party production teams to ensure video content aligns with Viking’s vision and mission.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain project files and manage B-roll and creative content across multiple platforms
  • Manage file migration from physical drives to cloud storage for proper cross-functional team accessibility
  • Archive, organize, and manage digital assets in cloud and local libraries
  • Edit footage to create compelling narratives incorporating music, graphics, color grading, and sound effects
  • Own the entire post-production process under guidance to ensure content is ready for creative teams
  • Research, source, and license royalty-free footage, images, music, and sound effects
  • Address stakeholder feedback and collaborate cross-functionally with creatives and departments
  • Audit existing content to ensure adherence to company brand standards
  • Ensure visual consistency and messaging across all video content
  • Ensure content meets editorial, ethical, and legal standards
  • Create B-roll from projects for commercial and multi-purpose use
  • Maintain regular backups of footage and project files
  • Configure export settings for various platforms ensuring optimal quality and compatibility

Requirements

  • Proficiency in video editing software and post-production tools
  • Strong understanding of various video formats, resolutions, frame rates, and aspect ratios
  • Experience managing digital assets and cloud-based file systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment
  • Keen eye for visual consistency and brand adherence
