About The Role

MS NOW is looking for a video podcast editor to join our team. This role will work across the unit to support multiple projects and ensure high technical standards by editing tape across a variety of video platforms—from longform horizontal podcasts to vertical “Reels-style” videos—plus audio mixing and filming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up tech for remote and in-person interviews and troubleshoot connection and technical problems
  • Position talent and guests to ensure the highest quality recording
  • Ingest audio and video files and prepare edit sessions for the team of producers
  • Edit podcasts for beauty and delivery to spec across multiple formats and platforms
  • Perform audio mixing and handle audio/video file management
  • Collaborate with audio engineers on podcast pieces
  • Manage both audio-first and video-first platform deliverables

Requirements

  • Extremely detail-oriented with ability to work fast
  • Mastery of advanced video and engineering techniques
  • Comfortable troubleshooting technical problems
  • Strong knowledge of journalistic best practices
  • Interest in news and politics
  • Experience with video and audio editing software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with producers and engineers
  • Knowledge of multiple video delivery formats and platforms
