About The Role
MS NOW is looking for a video podcast editor to join our team. This role will work across the unit to support multiple projects and ensure high technical standards by editing tape across a variety of video platforms—from longform horizontal podcasts to vertical “Reels-style” videos—plus audio mixing and filming.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up tech for remote and in-person interviews and troubleshoot connection and technical problems
- Position talent and guests to ensure the highest quality recording
- Ingest audio and video files and prepare edit sessions for the team of producers
- Edit podcasts for beauty and delivery to spec across multiple formats and platforms
- Perform audio mixing and handle audio/video file management
- Collaborate with audio engineers on podcast pieces
- Manage both audio-first and video-first platform deliverables
Requirements
- Extremely detail-oriented with ability to work fast
- Mastery of advanced video and engineering techniques
- Comfortable troubleshooting technical problems
- Strong knowledge of journalistic best practices
- Interest in news and politics
- Experience with video and audio editing software
- Ability to collaborate effectively with producers and engineers
- Knowledge of multiple video delivery formats and platforms
