NPHub — Video & Podcast Producer (YouTube & Short-Form)

We’re hiring the person who makes NP career stories worth watching to the end.

A decade ago, NPHub started by solving one problem: nurse practitioner students couldn’t find clinical preceptors. Today we’re the country’s largest preceptor matching platform — 14,000+ placements, 230+ NP programs, 45 states, 2,000+ five-star reviews — and we’ve expanded into the full NP career lifecycle through our sister brand NPHire, the only jobs platform built exclusively for nurse practitioners.

We made the Inc. 5000 list three years running and raised $20M in 2025.

Here’s the gap: we have an enormous amount of real, specific, hard-to-find story material — students who couldn’t find a rotation, clinicians who decided to precept, salary data nobody else has — and not enough of it is becoming video. That’s the job.

The role

You are our video engine. You come up with the ideas, plan them, shoot them, cut them, publish them, and read the numbers the next morning to decide what to make next. Nobody is going to hand you a list of videos to produce — that’s the part of the job we’re hiring you for. Long-form on YouTube and short-form on Reels, Shorts, and TikTok.

One pillar is a new interview podcast with nursing and healthcare leaders. Our CEO hosts and records these via Zoom; you own everything around them. You find and book the guests, build the question doc that makes the conversation land, then take the raw recording and turn it into a tight episode plus the vertical clips that carry it everywhere else.

The second pillar is what happens in our Atlanta office: Krish on camera, our in-house preceptor recruiters — all licensed NPs — explaining things only they can explain, and the candid, unpolished stuff that shows we’re a real company with real people in a real room.

You won’t be doing this alone in front of a camera. Our on-camera talent is the people in the story: NP students, preceptors, guests, and our CEO. Your job is making them look and sound good, and building a production process that doesn’t collapse when everyone gets busy.

You’ll report to the Director of B2C Marketing and work from our Atlanta office.

Who you are

You’re a video person first, and you have opinions about what should get made. You can look at a video and say why it held attention past the two-minute mark — or why it didn’t. You know the difference between what performs on Shorts and what performs on YouTube long-form, and you don’t try to make one do the other’s job. Mostly, you’re comfortable being handed a topic and a person and coming back with a finished cut nobody has to fix.

You do not need a healthcare background. You need to be curious enough about this audience to learn what makes them tick, and disciplined enough to ship weekly while you learn.

What you’ll own

The podcast, everywhere except the host’s chair. Guest research and outreach, booking, scheduling, reschedules and follow-up, question prep, then post-production: tightening the cut, rescuing the audio, packaging the episode, and mining it for clips.

The video output. Long-form YouTube and short-form vertical across NPHub and NPHire. Concepting, scripting, shooting, editing, thumbnails, titles, publishing.

In-office filming. Krish, our licensed-NP recruiters, team moments, explainers shot at someone’s desk. One camera or a phone, a tripod, decent mics. Deliberately lean — your job is making that setup consistently good, not building a studio. Plus weekly candid capture. At least one piece of unscripted office footage shipped every week.

The ideas. Concepts, formats, series, angles. You own the pitch, and you own what happens after we say yes.

Channel performance. Retention, watch time, subscriber growth, and view-to-action on the channels you own. You bring the read on what’s working, not just the deliverables.

Channel operations. Publishing cadence, packaging, playlists, and the weekly discipline of getting things out the door on schedule.

Who you’re making video for

  • NP students — they respond to peers, not brands, and they’re deciding whether clinical placement is something they can solve.
  • Preceptors — the supply side. They want clarity on earnings, scheduling, and paperwork.
  • Practicing NPs — NPHire candidates who want salary transparency, employer trust signals, and career direction.
  • Healthcare employers — clinics and companies that want a reliable hiring partner.

We’ll teach you this audience. Nobody expects you to arrive knowing it.

Required qualifications

  • 1–3 years producing video professionally, with a portfolio that’s mostly video — not video as one line item under “social media.”
  • A portfolio that speaks for itself. Long-form and short-form work you can walk us through. No channel analytics or subscriber counts required — we’re judging the work.
  • Packaging. Thumbnails and titles are part of the craft here, not an afterthought handed to a designer.
  • You manage cadence. Weekly output, consistently, without anyone chasing you.
  • You bring the ideas. You’re not waiting on a content calendar. You’ll spend time with our team and our audience, come back with concepts, and pitch them. The best ones get made.
  • You edit. Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, or CapCut at a professional level. Motion graphics and thumbnail design are a real plus.
  • You can make talking-head footage watchable. Remote Zoom recordings are your raw material for the podcast. Pacing, cuts, b-roll, text, motion — you know how to keep someone watching a conversation between two webcams.
  • You shoot lean, and you shoot often. One camera or a phone, available light, no crew. You can direct someone who has never been on camera into a usable take.
  • You’re comfortable being the person with the camera. You’ll walk up to a recruiter between calls, ask for ninety seconds, and get something real. This takes nerve and a light touch. It’s as important here as your edit skills.
  • Audio is non-negotiable. You can salvage a bad remote recording and you know how to set a guest up so it doesn’t need salvaging. Descript, Audition, or equivalent.
  • Interview production. You’ve cut a long conversation down to the part worth watching, and you can find the eight clips inside it.
  • You can get a stranger to say yes. Guest booking is part of this job — researching the right people, writing the ask, and managing the calendar reality of busy clinicians. AI helps with the research. It doesn’t do the follow-up.
  • AI-fluent. ChatGPT, Claude, and AI editing tools are part of how we work daily.
  • Atlanta-based and in our office regularly. This one isn’t flexible, and here’s why: NP clinical education is genuinely hard to understand from the outside. The fastest way to learn it is sitting near people who do it all day. That proximity is also what makes the candid content possible.

Nice to have

  • Comfortable on camera yourself. Not required, and not how we’ll evaluate you — but useful.
  • Experience in education, healthcare, careers, or another trust-heavy vertical.
  • Experience directing UGC or creator-style content — getting good footage out of non-professionals, and making footage they shot themselves look intentional.
  • You’ve launched a podcast from zero rather than inheriting one.

How to apply

  1. Your sizzle reel or your three best videos — one long-form, one short-form, and one you’re proudest of for reasons you’ll explain.
  2. Three video ideas for us. One line each. Look at what we do, look at who we serve, and tell us what you’d make. This matters more to us than your résumé.
  3. A resume or LinkedIn URL.

Shortlisted candidates get a paid test project: we send you a raw interview recording, you send back one cut episode segment and two vertical clips. That’s the audition.

Recruitment Scam Warning

Podwires will never ask you to pay fees, purchase equipment, or share sensitive financial information (bank details, SSN, credit cards) during the application process. Be cautious of offers that seem too good to be true, unsolicited messages from generic email addresses, or pressure to act immediately.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. Research the company, verify the posting on their official site, and never send money for a job. Report suspicious listings to ReportFraud.ftc.gov or contact us.
