Volunteer Podcast Producer & Video Editor

Habits for a Better World, a global nonprofit with 400+ members dedicated to inspiring evidence-based habit changes, is seeking a talented Volunteer Podcast Producer & Video Editor. This role is ideal for a creative storyteller who wants to develop their production skills while contributing to meaningful impact on human and planetary health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit full-length podcast episodes for both audio platforms and YouTube, ensuring high-quality sound, pacing, and visual engagement
  • Extract high-impact moments and segments to create engaging vertical videos for Reels, Shorts, and TikToks
  • Manage production logistics including episode release cadences, descriptions, and show notes
  • Create promotional assets and social media content
  • Partner directly with the podcast host and nonprofit leadership to align episode topics with broader campaigns

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience editing both audio and video content
  • Familiarity with Riverside (podcast recording/editing), Squarespace (audio hosting), YouTube, and Google Ads
  • Strong eye for finding ‘scroll-stopping’ moments in long-form content
  • Genuine interest in health, sustainability, psychology, or related mission-driven work
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a mission-focused global team

About Our Work

The Life Habits Podcast has been running for over 18 years and recently expanded from audio-only to video on YouTube. You’ll work with two co-hosts (a UK Psychologist and Canadian leadership expert), PhD-trained cognitive-behavioral scientists, and a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers.
