About Nick

Hi! I’m Nick and I’m a creative producer who helps people like you create and improve their podcasts. I’m a former BBC radio and TV producer with 25 years experience in audio and video. Now I’m using that production knowledge to help you create a podcast that sounds and looks professional and engages your intended audience – Something I’ve honed with thousands of hours of working in the media.

I can edit the content you already have recorded or I have a fully mobile studio so you can record your podcast is super high quality wherever you want (UK only).

What do I do? I help you create your podcast, help you decide who your audience is and how your uniqueness can come across in your podcast. There are thousands of other people doing them, how will yours stand out? I will help you craft your podcast idea into something truly special. I can also coach you if you’ve never hosted before and help you with interviewing techniques.

If you’re also looking for technical help, I can set up a fully professional studio where you are, or we can look at hiring studio space for you to record. I can also handle all of your needs surrounding the distribution of your podcast, socials and wider marketing.

Working with me means you are hiring your very own producer to take care of everything. All you’ve got to do is turn up and be curious.

The biggest barrier to starting a podcast is usually the ‘how.’ My role is to take the technical and creative weight off your shoulders so you can focus on being the expert and thinking about the “why”. From professional studio setups and host coaching to high-end editing and distribution, I provide a ‘turn-key’ production experience.

Great audio is a dark art, but great interviewing is a human one. Having coached everyone from BBC presenters to first-time hosts, I know how to pull out the stories that actually resonate with an audience. I’m not just your producer; I’m your creative partner and sounding board. We’ll work together to find your unique ‘hook’ in a crowded market.

Oh, and I’m loads of fun to work with!

Frequently Asked Questions

How does your BBC experience help with podcasts?
Having worked with a full spectrum of "talent" over my 25 years at the BBC, I know what it takes to get the best out of hosts and guests alike. My editing skills have also been finely honed over that time. I worked on live shows, so my editing had to be fast and accurate. I also have a very keen editorial eye, helping you shape your interviews.
You're in the UK, but I'm not - How does that work?
I can cater to your time zone, so if you're on the other side of the planet, I will make sure that your deadline is still mine.
Will you tidy my audio as well as editing it?
Yes. I have many clients who record with people who don't have mics or professional cameras. I will do what I can to get the best sound or visual I can.
What makes you different to other podcast producers?
I care about audio and video, and come from a media background. Some other podcast producers come from marketing or music backgrounds, but my life has been spent making speech based broadcasts better. I now apply this directly to podcasting.
