Position Overview:

Audacy is seeking a News Writer/Editor to join the newsroom on a part-time basis. This role involves overseeing newsroom operations during assigned dayparts and managing content creation and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the newsroom during assigned daypart shifts
  • Create and manage newscast rundowns
  • Select and cue audio content for on-air broadcast
  • Write and approve copy for news segments
  • Coordinate with digital content team on news distribution
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of all news content

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience in broadcast news or journalism
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Knowledge of news production software preferred
  • Part-time availability with flexibility for shift work
