Eurowaves Launches Global Advisory Board to Strengthen European Podcast Industry
Eurowaves, Europe’s premier biweekly newsletter dedicated to the podcasting industry, has announced the formation of its International Advisory Board—a strategic move designed to deepen connections across the fragmented European podcast ecosystem and link it to the broader global industry.

Founded in December 2024 by podcast professional Andreea Coscai, Eurowaves has rapidly grown to over 2,200 subscribers across the continent while publishing 43 issues in less than two years. The newsletter has garnered attention from major industry publications including Forbes, Podnews, Podcast Review, Bingeworthy, and Ear Worthy, and has expanded beyond the inbox into in-person meet-ups in cities like Madrid and London.
Formalizing a Growing Network
The new advisory board formalizes the organic network that has developed around Eurowaves’ mission. The eight-member board brings together international podcasting leaders representing 10 countries—Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, Australia, Romania, Madagascar, France, and Colombia. As shown in the image below, these professionals represent diverse expertise spanning public broadcasting, narrative documentary, podcast technology, journalism, podcast agency production, and community organizing.
“The podcasting scene in Europe is very diverse, yet disconnected,” said Andreea Coscai, founder of Eurowaves. “Each country has its own approach, but the closer you look, the more surprising similarities you find. There is plenty of room and need for growth, funding, support, and cross-border collaboration. This board is a group of professionals who have spent their careers building exactly that, in different corners of the world. Having them in the same room makes Eurowaves even more useful to the industry.”

Addressing Europe’s Podcast Potential
The formation of this board signals recognition of both the challenges and opportunities within Europe’s podcast landscape. While the continent hosts thriving podcast communities, the lack of cross-border infrastructure and coordinated industry support has historically hindered growth and international collaboration.
Eurowaves has positioned itself as a bridge in this ecosystem. Beyond the newsletter itself, Eurowaves operates a hub on Google Groups with more than 500 international podcasting professionals—a growing network of creators, producers, and industry stakeholders engaged in peer learning and collaboration.
Each biweekly issue of Eurowaves features interviews with industry professionals, curated industry news, podcast recommendations, country spotlights showcasing native-language shows, and announcements of events and opportunities. This content strategy has made the publication an essential resource for anyone tracking the evolving European podcast landscape.
