About Aaron

Before Sumari, Aaron Farmer built his career on stages, not in studios. As a multi-instrumentalist, keyboardist, guitarist, and Music Director, he led live shows for artists including Tyler Hubbard and Florida Georgia Line — arranging songs, cueing bands, and making real-time calls in front of audiences who only cared about what they were feeling in that moment.

That instinct never left. Touring taught Aaron that music only works when it serves what’s happening on stage, not the other way around — and that discipline is exactly what he brings to picture now. Every score Sumari writes starts with the story, not the arrangement: what does this moment need, and how does the music get out of its way to let it land? It’s a film-first approach built on years of learning to read a room live, with no do-overs.

Aaron founded Sumari during the 2020 pandemic, when touring stopped and he had to figure out what came next. He named it after his childhood nickname — Sumari, Afrikaans for “Smiley” — and built a production house around original scores, composition, and sound design for advertising, film, and television. The stages changed, but the instinct didn’t: it’s still Aaron in the room on every project, bringing the same story-first ear he built out on the road.
