PAVE Studios Expands Into History Programming
PAVE Studios, the entertainment company founded by former Parcast and Spotify executive Max Cutler, has announced the launch of Rewind, a new brand focused on delivering modern storytelling for history-obsessed audiences. The launch marks PAVE’s third major brand expansion following the success of Crime House and Open Mind.

As shown in the sleek green and black logo design, Rewind positions itself as a contemporary approach to historical content. The brand will explore significant moments, unresolved questions, and lesser-examined narratives from the past, presenting them with a modern voice for audiences seeking stories that go beyond traditional classroom education.
Star-Studded Creator Lineup
The brand’s flagship show, Hidden History, will premiere on May 11 hosted by Dr. Harini Bhat, a clinical pharmacist and science storyteller who has built a following of 2.5 million across platforms. Her YouTube series “Today I Learned Science” has garnered over 105 million views, and she currently hosts PBS’s NAACP-nominated series In the Margins.
Joining the Rewind roster are several notable creators:
- Dr. Greg Jackson – Creator and host of the top 10 podcast History That Doesn’t Suck, with a PhD in history and author of the recent Simon & Schuster release Been There, Done That
- Connor Tomlinson – Breakout star from Netflix’s Emmy-winning Love on the Spectrum U.S. with 2.8 million social media followers
- Dr. Lindsey Cormack – Political science professor at Stevens Institute of Technology and author of multiple books on citizenship and veterans affairs
Building on Proven Success
The Rewind launch builds on PAVE Studios’ impressive growth since its 2024 founding. The company has demonstrated consistent double-digit monthly growth rates, with more than 10 million monthly listeners and viewers across Apple, Spotify, YouTube, and other major platforms.
PAVE’s existing brands have found significant success: Crime House reaches more than 50 million followers across social media platforms, while Open Mind features high-profile personalities including Khloé Kardashian. Shows like Clues, Khloé in Wonder Land, and Murder True Crime Stories have helped establish PAVE’s creator network of more than 350 million combined followers and subscribers.
Industry Implications
“Creators are no longer just a part of the entertainment industry. They are the entertainment industry,” said Cutler in the announcement. “The studios that thrive in this new era will be the ones built to amplify multi-hyphenate storytellers across every format, from long- and short-form video to audio and social.”
Rewind content will be available both as video on YouTube and as audio podcasts across major platforms. The brand plans to premiere at least five new original video series in 2026, all developed and owned by PAVE Studios. A trailer introducing Rewind Studios is now available on YouTube.
This expansion into history programming represents PAVE’s bet on genre diversification, following the proven model of creator-driven content that has made Crime House and Open Mind successful properties in their respective niches.
