Muss Matters: Student Voices: Our Poland Trip

I was approached by the organisation to run their official podcast. I created a proposal and pitched it to management. Then I created a project outline and an outline of podcast episodes. I wrote the first scripts and hosted the first six episodes. I also managed the studio and was responsible for audio mixing with a 16 track Allen and Heath mixing desk. I also edited the audio output. I selected the intro and outro music according to the organisation’s specific guidelines and branding.
This is an example of one of the best episodes that I produced.
This was a completely new experience for me as I had previously produced my own podcasts for my own channel and learned to work within other people’s parameters. I also had not encountered a mixing desk as complex as this before. I had to make certain adjustments such as insisiting on the use of a Lenovo Microsoft laptop of decent processing capacity to process the work.

I had to recruit the student who had a compelling story, interview the student and prepare the student. Presenting and interviewing is in itself a skill and I felt that this podcast was significantly sucessful in its aims.
