A Quarter of Broken Biscuits
A Quarter of Broken Biscuits is a radio drama about a man coming to terms with his sexuality and the effect this has on the people around him in a small rural town.
The production involved nine actors but only six available microphones, all recorded into a single mixed track. This meant carefully organising the actors around the microphones, managing levels during the performance and making sure every line remained clear despite several actors sharing the same recording setup.
I recorded the full drama and then edited, cleaned and mixed the audio, balancing the dialogue, removing unwanted noise and creating a consistent final production for broadcast.
